Passing of Daryl R. Gates
OABA is saddened to report the passing of Daryl R. Gates, former President & CEO of Morral Companies LLC, and father of current OABA Board Chairman Grant Gates. Daryl served as chairman of the Ohio Agrobusiness Association in 1985. He also served on the boards of the Agriculture Retailers Association and The Fertilizer Institute.

OABA Joins Agricultural Stakeholders in Opposition to California's Proposition 12
OABA, along with several agricultural industry trade associations, has expressed significant concerns to the House Agricultural Leadership regarding California's Proposition 12. This legislation, which sets minimum space requirements for breeding pigs, egg-laying hens, and veal calves, is set to take full effect in 2024 and impacts pork sold in California, regardless of its origin.

OABA Signs Letter Addressing Concerns Over EPA's Proposed Formaldehyde Regulations
