Vision. The North Valley Chorale is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the cultural, musical, and social enrichment of metropolitan Phoenix and its surrounding communities.
Mission. We serve our community by providing affordable and
accessible performances of choral music from many traditions, eras, and cultures.
NVC Wraps Epic 15th Anniversary Season with ELIJAH!

The North Valley Chorale’s (NVC) 15th anniversary season finale was Mendelssohn’s spectacular oratorio, ELIJAH on April 28 at Camelback Bible Church, Paradise Valley, Arizona. Featuring live orchestra, spectacular soloists, Derek Stull, Sarah Smith, Emily Derks, Travis White, Helen Hendricks, Vince Lane, Catherine Lane, American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters and over 60 singers – all under the direction of Eleanor Johnson!

The NVC kicked off this special season at Chase Field in downtown Phoenix by singing the National Anthem for the September 30 Arizona Diamondbacks Choir Night (see HERE). They celebrated the big day with the Masquerade Murder Mystery Anniversary fundraiser on October 21, featuring the Valley’s most fun karaoke! The NVC ushered in the holiday season singing live from the FOX Arizona Morning Show studios on Nov 30 (see HERE) Later in December, the NVC entertained residents at the St. Vincent De Paul Ozanam Manor and the Camelback Post-Acute Care and Rehabilitation facility. The “choir that cares” donated nearly 300 pounds of food to St. Mary’s Food Bank just before Christmas.
The NVC holiday concert, GLORIA! on Dec 3 at Camelback Bible Church featured Vivaldi’s exuberant Gloria with live orchestra HERE and a lively second half filled with favorite carols and holiday songs, including the popular singalongs HERE. Follow along with the GLORIA! program HERE.
Love is in the Air (LITA), NVC’s signature cabaret series on February 16 and 17 sold out again this year! These intimate love-themed performances featuring many of our members in solos, duets and small groups at the transformed Phoenix Boys Choir Center, are a definite fan favorite. And an added bonus – on March 1, the Beatitudes Senior Living hosted the NVC for a mini-LITA concert at their beautiful performance center 1610 W Glendale Ave, Phoenix. The full LITA program is HERE. NVC’s Peace Offerings was “Mesmerizing”
NVC performed the concert Peace Offerings at the Camelback Bible Church on May 20, 2023. Veterans from around the Valley were NVC’s special guests for this magnificent program with full orchestra honoring those serving in the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard. The program featured R. Vaughan Williams “Dona Nobis Pacem,” K. Bestor’s “Prayer of the Children” and favorites like the “Armed Forces Medley” and “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy!”

“Love is in the Air” – You loved it!
With a nod to Valentine’s Day, North Valley Chorale fans, friends and family thoroughly enjoyed 2 SOLDOUT dessert cabaret performances of Love is in the Air , February 17 & 19, in the transformed Phoenix Boys Choir Building in central Phoenix. The fast-paced program, directed by Eleanor Johnson, showcased the Chorale as an ensemble, sparkling with fantastic cameos, solos, duets and small group performances.
