Providing quality housing, health and wellness services for people as they age is a hallmark of Deaconess Abundant Life Communities. Founded in 1889, as New England Deaconess Association, the organization has celebrated a long history and renowned reputation for providing a broad range of services and cultivating the desire of everyone to age gracefully. Uniquely, as the needs of residents at our communities change, we bring services to them preventing stressful moves and relocation. Our Philosophy

Deaconess cares compassionately for staff, residents, volunteers and families.  Deaconess knows that if one continues to stay intellectually challenged, physically active, socially connected, and spiritually enriched in whatever way that provides meaning to an individual, that one can age well.  Though there are many challenges along the pathway of the aging process, Deaconess believes that by providing supportive services in all of these areas, the later years of life will be more fulfilling and enriching.

You will love what you see when you Visit Us.  Our flagship community in Concord, Newbury Court welcomes you to share a Jazz Barbecue with the residents.  Rockridge in Northampton hopes you will join them for their upcoming flag raising.  Wesley Woods in Gilford hopes you will share a snowshoe trek through the woods.  We welcome you to join any of the resident groups to see what life is like at a Deaconess Abundant Life Community.
