The online portion of CEC's Green Gala is now open. The auction will run from September 12, 2011 to October 18, 2011, with the live event taking place on October 21, 2011. Proceeds go to the Community Environmental Council in order to support our Fossil Free by '33 mission to transition the Santa Barbara region away from fossil fuels in one generation. Our centerpiece auction item is a one-of-a-kind custom built gypsy caravan. This masterpiece was created by local artisans from reclaimed and repurposed materials and even comes with an off grid solar panel to power the interior and exterior sconces and will also power your iPad or computer! So, tell your friends, family, community. Starting bid is $30,000.
