How it Works

Getting Started

In a nutshell, getting started with BiddingForGood Marketplace is simple.

  1. You request information by completing a short form (click here) and a representative will call you
  2. Review our terms and conditions, sent by our representative
  3. Register as a vendor and post your inventory

On an ongoing basis, you will partner with BiddingForGood Marketplace is a simple and cooperative way:

  1. You post new items, descriptive content and pricing
  2. We review and okay your submissions
  3. When you require it, you will authorize the use of items in auctions
  4. When sales are made, you’ll be contacted to invoice the buyer and deliver items

That’s all there is to it.

Pricing

You set a price for each item you offer on consignment. If and when it is sold BiddingForGood contacts you, giving you information regarding the non-profit who has run the auction, so you may invoice them and ship your item.

Managing Inventory

Your offerings on BiddingForGood Marketplace are conveniently managed online. Our vendor tools allow you to maintain item names, descriptions, images, your logo, categorization, pricing and contact information.  You review and view your inventory in a “draft” area, shared with us. When you are satisfied with your offering, we will then review and approve it, publishing your goods and services to our live BiddingForGood Marketplace catalog, where auctioneers select supplemental items. You can update your materials 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. What’s more, you can temporarily remove, permanently discontinue, and add items.

Authorizations

Many of the items that BiddingForGood Marketplace catalogs are limited editions, seasonal and sometimes infrequently available. For this reason, we’ve included a feature in our vendor tools that permits you to publish something, making it available to auctions, but require your authorization for it to go live. Daily, you’ll be sent an email enumerating the authorization requests each has received. (There is also an online report form.) You can securely authorize item by item, approving or rejecting each. You can make this decision fully aware of the nonprofit organization making the request so that you may, if you wish, contact them regarding the timing and conclusion of their event.

Reports

Reports on BiddingForGood Marketplace activity are available to you online. Key reports describe which items have been ordered from you, by whom they were ordered and their costs. Authorization, auctioneer, auction closing dates and other pertinent management information is also listed. Plus, you can create filters in our reporting tool so that you can view only items that are not yet approved, approved, rejected, closed/sold and closed/not sold.
