Our approach to health is all about disease prevention and wellness promotion. We give people the tools they need to maintain and improve their health. We encourage personal responsibility in choosing lifestyle habits that ensure health and vitality.

We believe passionately in our mission: To advance and promote the health of the individual, the family, and the community.

The Women'ÃÂÂÂÂÂA?ÃÂÂÂÂÂA?ÂÂÂÂÂÂA?s Health Resource Library has been serving families in Washington County, Maine since 2006. We are much more than a collection of books; we are a community resource center. Our ongoing programs cover the lifespan, from the Mom and Baby Play Group to the Bone Builders exercise class, run by senior volunteers.  We also offer two different yoga classes, a very successful Weight Watchers program, a diabetes support group, and individual smoking cessation counseling. Special programming includes events such as Keeping Women Safe, Ladies Night Out for Breast and Bone Health, Menopause Support Group: Survivng the Change, and Cooking Light on a Budget.

All members of the community are invited to use our lending library, which features a collection of the most up-to-date books and periodicals on health and wellness issues.

We would like to thank our sponsors...
