New Directions for Youth’s Spirit of Hope Awards Gala will be held on September 30, 2010 at 6:00pm at the Skirball Cultural Center, Magnum Auditorium, 2701 N. Sepulveda Boulevard, Los Angels, CA. Event Tickets = $150 The Spirit of Hope Awards Gala will be hosted by The King's Broadcaster, Bob Miller and NDY will be honoring Dennis McCarthy, Columnist for the Daily News with the “Anne Finn” Public Service Award; David Kirschner, Film and Television Producer with the Spirit of Hope Award; Bonnie Reiss, with the Humanitarian Award; and Los Angeles City Councilman Tony Cardenas with the Partners with Youth Award. Special entertainment will be provided by Dick Van Dyke and the Vantastix and Jennifer Joseph.

Auction items that will be featured at this event include:

Day at the Port of Los Angeles with the Port Police and patrol the beautiful waters of San Pedro in a Port Police Boat

LAPD Day at Edward M. Davis Training Center and Lunch at Odyssey with Assistant Chief Michel Moore for one person

Anheuser-Busch Beer School for 10 Adults

Panama Vacation

Pine Mountain Vacation

Whistler Condo for 4 nights plus airfare for 2

Golf at Hillcrest CC for 3 with Dan Pearlman

Lunch and Tour with the Firefighters  of the Van Nuys Fire Station for 4 people
