The Ordway Circle of Stars 2012 Gala was a great success. Thank you all for taking the time to support The Ordway Circle of Stars and the Ordway’s programs including the cutting-edge Target World Music and Dance Series, the Flint Hills International Children’s Festival, and the Education at Ordway programs, all of which reflect the great cultural diversity of our community.

Online Auction (Notice and Bidding Rules)

A silent auction will take place at the Ordway Circle of Stars Gala reception on December 1, 2012; bidding on some of those live and silent auction items will start online Monday, November 19 at 9am through Noon on November 29, and then bidding will continue on those items December 1 at the Gala reception. There are also some items that will only be available online for bidding from Monday, November 19 at 9am through Noon on November 29.  Items available online only will be labeled as such.  Items available online but then available for additional bidding at our live event will also be labeled as such.  There will be a few items posted that will only be available at the live event.

Online bidders are given the opportunity to bid on items up to a certain price prior to the Gala event.  In addition Absentee Bidders can be assigned to bid for them if they are not attending the live event. If an item has an online bid prior to December 1, 2012, the item starts with the last online auction bid. Online bidders who do not attend the Gala on December 1, 2012 will be notified of their winning bid and their payment source will be charged within approximately 1 week of the close of the auction. All online bidders are subject to the same delivery options and fees listed below. Shipping is not available for items containing alcohol or tobacco.

Legal Disclaimer

By using The Ordway Circle of Stars Online auction system, you agree to comply with all Auction Guidelines and all state, federal or international laws that apply. In addition, you agree to use the system at your own risk and pursuant to the following terms:

1. Ordway Circle of Stars shall be held harmless by any user who may experience problems, loss or damage arising or originating from the use of the online bidding system/service.
2. Ordway Circle of Stars is not responsible for any problems, damage or loss caused related to the auction. This includes, but is not limited to, system failures, system errors, internet related problems, computer hardware and software problems, power outages, fire and theft.
3. Ordway Circle of Stars reserves the right to omit, remove, or re-categorize, at any time, any auction item at its sole discretion.
4. Ordway Circle of Stars does not guarantee any e-mails associated with invoicing, bidding updates and winning bid notices by any user of the auction system.
5. Unless otherwise designated, Ordway Circle of Stars will deliver your item locally by courier for a base fee of $25.  However, if the cost of shipping is above $25, additional fees will apply. No shipping is available on items that contain alcohol or tobacco.
6. Ordway Circle of Stars requires users to be of legal age in all jurisdictions that may apply to any transaction.
7. All purchases are final and are not available for exchange or credit from the donor, the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, or Ordway Circle of Stars
8. Ordway Circle of Stars strictly prohibits all users from sending unsolicited e-mail to the other users of the online system (i.e. no spamming.)

NOTE: Every reasonable effort has been made to describe the auction items accurately. Everything is being sold "where is" or "as is" without warranty or representation of any kind as to the correctness of description, authenticity, condition, or quality of fitness for any purpose.  It is understood that all items and services acquired by the buyers become the sole responsibility and property of the buyers. Ordway Circle of Stars, and Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, shall not be liable for any user’s claims, losses or damages related to the auction. 

Ordway Circle of Stars will be in contact with you to arrange the pick up and/or mailing of your winning item or items.  If the item is a larger item, OCOS will coordinate shipping and fees with you per the auction rules on our main page.
