Make Your Bid to Support Experiential Education at Quest!

Main Article Image

Quest University Canada offers a variety of experiential based courses, allowing students to continue learning outside of the classroom. Now is your chance to support Quest students through this fundraiser. By purchasing one of these beautiful prints, you are enabling students to participate in these experiential education opportunities. All items are 12 X 18 inches high-resolution prints, ready to hang in your favorite space!

The Quest Visual Anthropology course was taught in Ladakh and Zanskar, India in July and August 2015. The course spanned 21 continuous days, experiencing a world in tumultuous and immediate evolution in the heart of the high Himalaya. Students travelled with nomad yak herders and lived with buddhist villagers. They experienced the soul of Ladakhi people firsthand.

Quest University Canada is the first independent, not-for-profit, secular, Liberal Arts and Sciences in Canada. Quest has over 700 students coming from over 40 different countries worldwide. The National Survey of Student Engagement has ranked Quest as a leader in student engagement in North America, as we continue to be innovative in our student centered teaching method.

Considerable thought has been gone into each photo, as it documents a specific experience and moment in time. Thank you to all of the artists who have contributed work to this event, and to Bill Thompson for his continued support of learning through experiences at Quest. One of the student photographers mentioned something important we'd like to share.

"I've been considering wether I feel I have the right to sell images of people I only spent a few hours with. Upon further refection, I realized I might spend my entire life asking that question, but I would never find an ultimate answer.

However, I deeply value my experience in a field course because it broke down the artificial line between life and school that can appear at any institution for learning."
