The WPI Alumni Association is gearing up for its annual online auction. The auction culminates during Homecoming Weekend, October 5 and 6.

Starting on September 20, 2012, the Alumni Association will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to raise money for student scholarships. The more items we have to auction off, the more money we can raise, so we're asking for your help.

Show your support by clicking on the "Donate Items" button to contribute to our catalog. Whether you have 1 item or 100 to contribute, your participation is an invaluable part of our fundraising efforts. By donating an item or service directly online, not only will you be helping to raise money for deserving students, you'll also receive a mention on our auction website that can link back to your own web page.

The Alumni Association is looking for the following types of items to be donated to the auction. I've you've decided to support us by donating an item please add it to our catalog, then mail or ship the item to Aubrey Valley, Associate Director of Alumni Relations, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, 100 Institute Road, Worcester, MA 01609.

• Autographed sports items or spiritwear
• Items autographed by authors, musicians, actors and other celebrities
• School spiritwear or memorabilia
• Tickets to WPI events - athletics, theater, music
• Tickets to events such as professional sporting events, theater productions, and concerts
• Gift cards to for shopping and dining
• Admission passes for museums, parks,
• Golf outing packages
• Vacation home rentals
• Specialty food and beverage items
• Electronics
• Books for adults or children
• Children's toys
• Home decorating items and housewares
• Family outing packages
• Women's accessories such as jewelry or handbags
• Private dining experiences
• Dinner with a celebrity or VIP, 
• Backstage access to a concert or theater production
• Private tours and cruises
• Other unique and hard-to-get experiences and items
