 Last Minute Reminders for Tonights Mess Night Event! 

• Make Sure You and Your Guests Register an account and a CC # for fast and easy check-in and automatic check out! 
• Expected Attire is Coat and Tie
• Ladies might want a sweater.
• Everyone might want extra cash in small bills for paying "fines"! (But It's Fun!)
• Event begins at 6:00pm with a cocktail hour, beer and wine included, all other drinks are cash bar.
• Located at Defiance Ridge Vineyards, 2711 Highway 94, Defiance, MO 63341
• Tickets are sold out

 Rules of the Mess

note - you will be fined for breaking rules, or appearing to break rules, or just because your friends want to give you a hard time.  Feel free to give it back to them! 

1. Don't be late

2. Greet all guests and be friendly

3. Go to you table when the bagpiper begins

4. Don't leave the mess once convened - Military protocol overrides calls of nature. 

5. Participate in all toasts unless you or your group is being toasted.

6. Glass must be full when toasting

7. Keep toasts and comments within limits of good taste and mutual respect.  Insulting remarks are frowned upon, but good-natured kneading is encouraged.

8. Dont murder the Queen's English

9. Don't open the hanger doors (talk shop)

10. Use proper toasting procedure

11. If you your clip on tie is tilted, expect a fine.

12. Use your manners during mealtime and eat properly

13. Don't laugh at rediculously funny comments unless the president approves by laughing first.  

14. Do not overindulge on alcohol 

15. Do not question the president's decisions about fines

16. Do not begin eating before the head table

17. Do not engage in conversation when another member has the floor

18. Do not wear ill-fitted or discolored clothing

19. Enjoy yourself to the fullest!
