About the artist and the work:
American Paragon (2012) Lizzy Mayer Digital Photograph "My work is centered around mannequins' imitation of human form. Just as humans reflect synthetic qualities, mannequins reflect humanistic ones. This line between real and surreal is explored in my photo, American Paragon."
American Paragon placed in the 2014 Photography Contest by Drexel University and was exhibited in their Philidelphia exhibit. The photo was also exhibited in Chicago's Gallery 400 and the Evanston Art Center.
Lizzy Mayer is currently a student at The Art Institute of Chicago.
