American Lung Association in Illinois annual Springfield Golf Classic Silent Auction starts May 26, 2014!
Starting on May 26, 2014, American Lung Association in Illinois will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on for our annual Springfield Golf Classic Silent Auction. This auction is linked with our Springfield Golf Classic and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois Corporate Cup Challenge to help generate much needed funds for advocacy, education and research of lung disease. We "Fight for Air" because we believe that no one should struggle to breathe.
To date, the American Lung Association has contributed more than $1.5 million to pulmonary research from this event. This tremendous success enabled talented investigators to probe the basic science of lung biology through numerous research grants. This support is critical in turning research results into advanced, proven medical treatment. Each year, close to 160,000 people die from lung cancer.
This year the Springfield Golf Classic and Blue Cross Blue Shield Corporate Cup Challenge will be held on June 16, 2014 at the Illini Country Club in Springfield, IL.
