The Douglas Center "Making A Difference"Online Auction is now open. The auction will run from October 5, 2015 to November 13, 2015. Proceeds go directly in support of the programming provided by The Douglas Center. The Douglas Center, a nonprofit organization provides day programs for individuals living with severe developmental, intellectual and physical disabilities. Through our Work Center program we offer training programs and employment opportunities that include light manufacturing, sewing, packaging, assembly, shrink wrapping, labeling, heat sealing, fulfillment services, etc. by partnering with local manufacturers, businesses and individuals on work contracts/projects. Our center also offers pre-vocational skills and work training, Supported Employment program, "Art From The Heart" Creations program, "Young at Heart" Seniors program and developmental rehabilitation for adults of all ages.
The Douglas Center opened its doors in 1999.The center began as a vision to provide individuals with special needs the choices, life skills, employment opportunities, skill-learning choices and an environment conducive and supportive of their ability to function and thrive. Today, The Douglas Center provides a home away from home for the many hard working and dedicated individuals we serve. Our center’s clinical services, training programs, employment opportunities and Senior’s program enhance the lives of our program participants and assist them in reaching their maximum potential.
