Cypress High School Silent Auction 2014
Please join us and support Cypress High School's fundraiser of the year! Funds generated from this auction provide various scholarships for graduating seniors and finance programs and unique opportunities for our students' enrichment. Cypress, being a public high school, depends heavily on funds from this fundraiser to help offset the restraints of the ever-decreasing budget allowed to public schools. Please consider supporting our school, and please remember that your donations are tax-deductible, so you can give yourself a break on your taxes while supporting this important school event. We truly are grateful and appreciate and support you can give.
This is the first year that Cypress is using an online auction in conjunction with our Silent Auction which is Friday, May 9th 2014 6-8:30pm at Cypress High School (2039 Merrill St., Santa Cruz). The online auction allows viewing of and bidding on all the items offered in our auction. For donators, kindly bring your donated items to the school office by May 1st so that they can be processed and added to this site.
To participate in this online auction, it is necessary to register with a credit card. Nothing will be charged to your credit card however even if you win the item. There is a 3.4% processing fee that would be charged if we used credit cards, and we are avoiding it by collecting checks at the event or asking checks to be mailed to Cypress High School (2039 Merrill St., Canta Cruz CA 95062)within 3 days after auction has closed (by May 12). So, please understand that a credit card is necessary to register for accountability but will not be charged.
The online auction will close on Thursday, May 8th at 5pm, and the ending bids will become the starting bids at the auction the next night (Friday, May 9th 6pm). It is possible to be an "absentee" bidder the evening on the 9th if you're unable to make the event. In that circumstance, you would place your maximum bid on the online item, and parents assigned to the task of bidding for the absentee bidders would bid for you at the auction. There are a small number of "larger ticket items" that will by auctioned "live" by Principal Les Forster at 8pm, and we will specify them below.
Please spread the word of this online opportunity to all your family and friends! It is easy to participate, and Cypress is depending on a successful event (ie bringing in lots of "sales") to help with the upcoming school year. Help our teachers, help this wonderful school, which in turn helps all of our children!!!
