AOPA Foundation – A Night for Flight
Auction Ends: Nov 13, 2010 10:00 PM EST

The AOPA Foundation's A Night for Flight auction is now closed. Thank you to all of those who participated.

The auction ran from September 30, 2010 to November 13, 2010, with all proceeds going to AOPA Foundation.

A Night for Flight is in support of the critical initiatives funded by the AOPA Foundation to keep pilots safe, and safeguard the future of GA.

Today’s aircraft owners and pilots face complex issues that threaten the existence of general aviation in the U.S. The AOPA Foundation was created in 2008 to address a multitude of issues impacting general aviation now and in the future.

The AOPA Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation, which, through tax-deductible donations, funds efforts to address four key initiatives to ensure the future of GA:

  • Preserving and improving community airports
  • Improving GA’s safety record through increased pilot education
  • Growing the pilot population to ensure GA’s future
  • Educating the public on the benefits of general aviation

The future of general aviation is inextricably linked to the leadership, passion, and capacity of AOPA and its members. The AOPA Foundation addresses many of the critical challenges facing general aviation—today and tomorrow.
