The Dorsky's Accomplishments in 2012
2012 was a banner year for The Samuel Dorsky Museum of Art. We presented inspiring exhibitions and special programs including gallery talks, panel discussions, performances, workshops, and a "Boxing Painting" event by artist Ushio Shinohara. We presented historic and contemporary works of talented Hudson Valley artists as well as national and international artists. Our current exhibitions are bringing record audiences to the museum.
Individual gifts supporting the museum's programming are essential for The Dorsky to achieve its goals of enhancing the academic prorams at the College and serving as the cultural hub for the Hudson Valley region. Private donations from friends like you enable us to continue to present this caliber of programming as these donations cover a large portion of the cost of the museum's exhibitions and public programs.
