Be there to see the 2012 Olympic men’s and women’s cycling road races in England!

In September 2011, Adventure Cycling Association will be auctioning a 10 Night Home Stay for two (2) in North Holmwood, England, in the Surrey countryside (within 2 miles of Dorking and three miles of Box Hill) where the men will come around nine times and the women three times. Cycle the Surrey Hills, watch the 2012 Olympic men’s and women’s road races, day-trip to Dorking or London, and explore the history of North Holmwood including Bronze Age burial grounds, a Roman road, and Pilgrim’s Way (mentioned in Chaucer as the Pilgrim route from Winchester to Canterbury). Visit the Denbies Estate Vineyard andother local attractions.

If you want to ride the local part or the Olympic road-race course, you can bring your bikes along or local rental can be arranged.  Or you may want to explore some of the many designated cycling routes in southeast England -- many including short, but stiff (20 to 25%) climbs.  Bike routes include challenging mountain as well as road bike routes.  There are many touring routes available throughout out the UK and Ireland for the adventurous self-supported tourists using B&B accommodation. Your hosts can supply details in advance of your trip according to your wishes.
