About Olive Elementary's - Sharks & Shamrocks Auction 2014
Our Mission is to help the students, school and their families work together to promote student academic and social success. The PTA is committed to enriching, encouraging and participating in our children’s educational experience and providing a safe and supportive environment at Olive School. With proceeds from the past auctions, we have built a shade structure on the lower playground, provided enhancement teachers, built a garden, purchased and hung inspirational signs, updated the computer lab with new computers and new software, and purchased document cameras, LCD projectors and iPads for every classroom. In addition, we have contributed toward, among other things, a copier, Art teachers, improvements to the multi-purpose room, the sign in the Olive Avenue parking lot, emergency supplies, as well as field trips and assemblies for every grade level. Other programs have included Safe Routes to School, the Book Club, Yearbook, Spirit-Wear, CROC Program, Reflections, and Field Day. This year we have had special emphasis on improving technology and just deployed 67 computers, including Chromebooks and iPad Air tablets in the classrooms. As always, we support our teachers in any and every way that we can including classroom volunteers and supplies.
