The auction will run to December 14, 2011, with proceeds going to Great Neck Community Fund in order to help us to help a great number of local charitable organizations. The Great Neck Community Fund is a 501c3 umbrella organization which raises funds that are granted to 13 non-profit organizations that primarily serve the residents of theGreat Neck Peninsula.

GNCF-The ONE Way To Support 14 Agencies For Great Neck 
Child Abuse Prevention Services (CAPS): (516) 621-0552. CAPS is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect through community awareness and school educational programs.
CLASP Children’s Center: (516) 482-8090.  Provides for Great Neck’s working parents, before and after school and camp and vacation care for K-5 and full day, full year early childhood programs for children ages 18 months to 4 years. CLASP’s Intergenerational Program supports shared activities between children and seniors.
NassauCounty Coalition Against Domestic Violence:(516) 572-0700.   Crisis service for victims of domestic violence and rape, including 24 hour, 7-day per week hotlines (516-542-0404/domestic violence; 516-222-2293/rape), emergency safe housing, legal consultation, individual and group counseling, educational presentations for schools and community, training for professionals in the area of domestic violence, elder abuse and sexual assault.
COPAY:(516) 466-2509. Is a community based, bi-lingual, human services agency.  Its primary focus is the professional treatment and prevention of drug addiction and alcoholism. Licensed by the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse as a 1035 outpatient medically managed intensive care facility, COPAY, Inc. offers many family centered services to individuals, families, children, and significant others helping them to attain sobriety and to develop a sober life style.  
Girl Scouts of Nassau County, Inc. : (516) 741-2550.  Where Girls Grow Strong - Educational and recreational activities for Great Neck girls age 5-18.  In Girl Scouts, girls discover the fun, friendship, and power of girls together.  Girl Scouts is where today’s girls become tomorrow’s leaders.  Girl Scouting:  For Every Girl, Everywhere.
GreatNeckSeniorCenter: (516) 487-0025.  A variety of programs: exercise aerobics, yoga, tai chi; dance: folk line, Western; bridge; holistic health; trips to theaters, museums and concerts, Social Model Day Care Program and social services—professional staff; information and referral, counseling, bereavement and caregivers groups.  Hot nutritious lunches and transportation provided five days a week.
Great Neck Student Aid Fund Inc.:(516) 829-9437.  Provides outright grants to help hard-pressed graduating seniors in the GreatNeckSchool District meet the steadily mounting and increasingly out of reach expenses of their first year in college or vocational school. Since 1931, the Student Aid Fund has been here to give students a “leg-up” in that crucial first year of higher education. Your support can change the direction of a life! 
Manhasset-Great Neck EOC: (516) 627-1750.  The Manhasset- Great Neck Economic Opportunity Council sponsors the local “head start” program, provides adventures in learning for grade school youngsters, supervised recreational activities and a Summer Youth Program. MGNEOC also provides academic and job training for youth, plus adult services; FEMA, resume writing and job training.
NorthShore Child and Family Guidance: (516) 626-1971.  “Caring for the Emotional Health of Our Communities.”  The center offers a wide range of mental health services to children, youth and families including diagnostics assessments, individual, family and group therapy; psycho-educational assessment and treatment; substance abuse services; bereavement and trauma services, and special programs geared to issues such as single parenting, early childhood development and abuse prevention and treatment.  The Center is also an important training and consultation center for parents and professionals offering workshops, community education forums, newsletters, and a speakers bureau.
NorthShore-LongIsland Jewish Health System Foundation: (516) 465-2554.  The Child Life and Education Services Program helps seriously ill hospitalized children and their families cope with the trauma of needed treatments. Children in the Hematology/Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, Intensive Care and general pediatrics units are served.

 

Open Door Parent Child Caring Center - (516) 487-3313 Over the years, Open Door Parent Child Caring Center has evolved to address the needs of the community.  We have transformed into a unique program that helps families achieve the best in parenting by offering both quality parenting and early childhood programs.   The parent and nursery school program are coordinated for optimum learning opportunities for both parent and child.  The program is available to ALL families in Long Island and Queens

1. Great Neck Community Fund - the Seller - is a New York not-for-profit charitable corporation.  A share of the proceeds of the winning bid on any item will be used specifically for the facility, maintanence and organization programs.

2. Seller makes no express or implied guarantees or warranties of merchantability, fitness or authenticity of the item and expressly disclaims all liability as to the condition or authenticity of the item. It is, therefore, the bidder’s responsibility to take all steps he/she deems appropriate to determine condition, fitness and authenticity. Bidder also acknowledges that certain items (including, but not limited to, event tickets, destinations, professional services, entertainment, meals and experiences) are subject to performance by third parties, and that Seller shall bear no responsibility, financial or otherwise, should any such performance not meet the winning bidder’s expectations.

3. Any item that is a product (including, but not limited to, appliances, electronics, clothing and jewelry) is sold in “as is” condition. If applicable, the manufacturer’s warranty may, or may not, be available to the winning bidder. If available, such warranty shall be the only warranty applicable to the item.

4. If the item is event tickets (e.g., sporting event), bids may not exceed amounts permitted under applicable state law. Winning bidder will be bound by all terms and conditions applicable to ticket purchasers.

5. Certain items (including, but not limited to, professional services, destinations, meals, hotel stays and vacations) will be subject to availability and scheduling requirements. Winning bidder will be bound by all terms and conditions in any third-party contract applicable to such items.

6. If the item is the provision of any professional service or consultation (whether health/medical/dental-related, beauty-related, counseling-related or otherwise)(the “services”), the winning bidder acknowledges that the provider is an independent contractor and Seller makes no representations as to the provider’s qualifications or that the services will be satisfactory to the bidder. Seller is not legally responsible for the quality of the services rendered or for any acts or omissions of the provider related to the performance of such services. It is the bidder’s responsibility to determine if the provider’s qualifications are acceptable to the bidder, who, as between him/her and Seller, assumes all risk related to the performance of the services.

7. If the item is a work of art or an antique, the winning bidder acknowledges that Seller makes no representation as to authenticity or value. A certificate of authenticity may or may not be provided with the item by an entity other than the Seller, which bears no responsibility for the issuance of the certificate.

8. If the item is a piece of sports- or entertainment-related memorabilia, the winning bidder acknowledges that Seller makes no representation as to authenticity or value. A certificate of authenticity may or may not be provided with the item by an entity other than the Seller, which bears no responsibility for the issuance or accuracy of the certificate.

9. Certain items (including, but not limited to, sports- or entertainment-related experiences, such as lessons with a tennis pro or a walk-on role in a TV show, or a meeting with a celebrity) will be subject to availability, scheduling requirements and other restrictions imposed by the experience provider. In addition, the winning bidder may be subject to a background check and appropriate security clearance before the experience or meeting takes place. Item is non-transferable by the winning bidder.

10. For any item that requires transportation, winning bidder will be responsible for his/her own transportation (unless expressly included in item description).

11. All bids shall be in U.S. dollars and are legally binding upon the bidder.

12. Payment and delivery shall occur no later than 14 days after the auction ends.
