For over 29 years, Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Cook County has been training everyday volunteers like you to stand up for abused and neglected children as child advocates.

There are over 5,500 children in Cook County’s foster care system that need your help in an overwhelmed and extremely under-resourced foster care system.

THE NEED IS GROWING.  THE STATISTICS ARE STAGGERING.
Today’s tough economy and high unemployment place huge strains on families, resulting in more reported cases of abuse and neglect of children. CASA of Cook County is the largest of 36 CASA programs operating in Illinois and is the only program of its kind in Cook County. We have the largest need and one of the smallest percentages of children supported with only 10 percent of the cases being covered.
