All net proceeds raised will directly support Art, Classroom Supplies, Community-Building Events, Educational Assemblies, Enrichment Class Scholarships, Facilities/Grounds Upkeep & Maintenance, Families-in-Need, Field Trips, Mentor Reading, Performing Arts, School Garden, School Library, Teacher Activity Funds and many other critical programs.
As a charter school we are consciously working to maintain a standard of academic excellence in an environment of project-based learning with an emphasis on two hubs: Visual and Performing Arts and Environmental Education. All schools have been affected by California’s current budget crisis. For our school, this means big cuts to enrichment and other charter-based programs that distinguish our school from traditional schools. As a charter school, Mary Collins is not funded in the same way as other schools within our District. This means that funds for our programs must be raised from outside sources.
