The 80s may be gone, but Merriam School still needs your help!  Please donate to the Spring Appeal!

The Merriam School – your school – is a unique place for many reasons. Topping the list is the presence of an assistant in every classroom. With Merriam’s focus on project-based learning, we can all appreciate the value of having an extra set of hands, eyes and ears in the classroom. The presence of this additional adult benefits the students and enriches their educational experience. 

The Merriam PTO has a fundraising goal of $90,000 for the 2015-2016 school year.   It is now mid-May and we are still about $10,000 short of our budget for the assistants for next year.  All funds raised will be used to directly support our classroom assistants.  If we do not reach our goal, we will lose valuable assistant time in your child's classroom.  Because our entire budget goes to the assistants, there is no way to work around this shortcoming, other than appeal to our families.

If each family contributes $50, we'll meet our goal.

The Merriam PTO is a 501(c)(3) organization, making your donation tax deductible. Further, your gift may be eligible for fund matching by your employer. Please check with your employer about matching your contribution. If your company needs more information, please contact the Merriam PTO.  We will be happy to provide assistance.
