Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool’s mission is to cultivate a community in which children are loved, nurtured and celebrated as they discover who God created them to be.
Since 1979 our purpose has been to provide a safe, loving, nurturing environment that preserves the experience of childhood through a carefully planned Christian program. We provide a quality, developmental curriculum that fosters the spiritual, social, emotional, motor, approaches to learning, academic and cognitive growth of each child. Our curriculum is emergent and meets the needs of the individual child. Through project based learning, children gain knowledge and discover their world through hands-on experience.
In an environment of acceptance and love, children grow in the nurture of God and encounter His grace and love. We wish for children to experience and develop curiosity, imagination, self-esteem, to offer opportunities to expand on their knowledge and to be encouraged and supported as they face new developmental milestones. We value and have a commitment to excellence in Early Childhood Education and seek to be on the growing edge of quality in our field. Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool is proud to have been accredited and maintained accreditation since 1995 by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs a division of NAEYC.
Our developmental philosophy at Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool is based on fundamental principles of the growth and development of children. Generally, the order of these developmental stages is predictable, however, the time and sequence of these stages is unique to each child. Curriculum is planned so children can advance through the developmental stages at their own rate of growth. Each child comes with his or her own individual style and rate of learning. Our diversified program will focus on the primary developmental domains, offering activities to further enhance and solidify the social-emotional, cognitive, creative, physical and spiritual growth and development in young children.
Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool is a non-profit, interracial and non-political institution founded by Bel Air Presbyterian Church. The Preschool not only shares the same campus as Bel Air Presbyterian Church, but also the Church’s mission and values. As a church-related Preschool, we recognize the spiritual side in all of us; the desire to know God and to know that He is personally involved in the world and in each of our lives. We talk about how God made the world and the beauty in it that comes from Him. We talk about how He cares for each of us. We pray as teachers and we give the children many opportunities to pray as well.
Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool enjoys ethnic, economic and faith diversity in the families who make up our student body. While we invite people of all races, creeds and backgrounds to apply, we maintain our commitment to be a church related Christian preschool as our curriculum reflects.

NOTE ABOUT WISHING TREE ITEMS - Wishing tree items are not items that are bid on - they are a straight "buy now" purchase of an item for a specific preschool classroom. Purchase of a wishing tree item is considered a donation to Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool and is tax-deductible as allowed by law. Teachers have provided us with their "wishes" for their classrooms. All you need to do is purchase a wishing tree item online and a designated staff member will order and deliver that item to the classroom. Thank you in advance for your donation and support.

The online auction portion of our annual fundraiser will run from November 18, 2015 to December 4, 2015. Our live evening event will taking place on March 5, 2016 at the SLS hotel in Los Angeles. All proceeds will benefit Bel Air Presbyterian Preschool to support the overall operational growth and development of our school as well as specific areas designated for this year.
