The Canyon School is a 501c3 not-for-profit preschool that has been providing outstanding educational programs to the children and families of the Hollywood community for over 65 years. As a long-time fixture in the Hollywood community, we proudly continue our tradition of parents and teachers with diverse talents and backgrounds creating a dynamic environment for learning. The Canyon School encourages the widest possible socio-economic, cultural and ethnic diversity, while maintaining tuition at a lower cost than most preschools.
Your participation in this auction will help us meet our goal of raising critical funds for our art, music, dance, sports, and scholarship programs.
As a parent-participation cooperative program, The Canyon School is unique where parents take an active role in the day-to-day operation of the school, arts program and care of their young children. This cooperative environment creates a sense of community and individual responsibility for our children, profoundly impacting a positive view, experience and relationship to their world and instilling confidence that they will carry with them for a lifetime.
Active parent involvement allows for reduced tuition costs to encourage a broad socio-economically diverse base in The Canyon School’s families. In addition, children whose parents are involved in their early education are more likely to pursue higher education later in life. Unfortunately, tuition does not cover all the costs of the high quality educational services we provide nor secure the school’s survival for future families. We are committed to preserving this cultural gem and we hope that you can join us in our effort.
