Meet the 2016 Auction Featured Artists!

These four respected local artists have donated custom works of art that will be available for bid on the Auction beginning April 9th!

Mark Groaning Mark Groaning can usually be found at his gallery located at 33 East Avenue is Rochester’s vibrant East End. Mark is an incredibly versatile artist whose masterful creations are completed in a variety of mediums such as, paintings on glass, wood and steel, fused glass jewelry, steel sculptures, sculpted acrylic forms and photography repainted with new life. Mark is also renowned for his Creating Art LIVE experiences where his live painting demonstrations invite spectators to view his creative process from beginning to end.
Nate Hodge Nate Hodge began working with WALL\THERAPY in 2015 after participating in several group shows at the 1975 Gallery in Rochester, which specialized in showcasing the work of up-and-coming local artists. He has a BFA from SUNY Brockport and an MFA from the University of Buffalo. Hodge currently lives and works in Brockport, N.Y., while he exhibits drawings and installations both locally and regionally. Nate has recently been recognized for his work as the recipient of the 2016 Lillian Fairchild Award.
Cordell Cordaro Cordell Cordaro’s colorful crowd of characters seem to have walked out of many different types of story-realms. Stylistically, Cordaro’s party-scene works nod to Egon Schiele’s elegant waifs, in which anatomical distortions convey emotional truths, but his gestural brushstrokes and playful, mythic injections make his prolific portfolio firmly his own. An increasing master of several media, Cordaro’s work includes paintings, ink drawings, and combinations of the two. Fans can enjoy numerous examples of his work in a variety of venues around Rochester and the Finger Lakes.
Laura Wilder A Roycroft Master Artisan, Laura Wilder’s artwork harkens back to artistic expression from the early Twentieth Century, taking inspiration from artists like Baumann, Steichen, Holwein, Voysey, Klimt, Bradley. Some of Laura’s career highlights include high-profile commissions from Nazareth College, being named Artist in Residence at the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, commissions to create the official 2007 Lilac Festival Poster and 2011 Park Avenue Festival, as well as attending a number of popular art & craft shows, including the Memorial Art Gallery’s Clothesline Festival.
