Supporting the Ashley Scholarship Fund, helping more people find their path to healing.

GARY J. WILLIAMS struggled with alcohol addiction and completed the treatment program at Ashley in August 2013. He was a Dietary Aide at Ashley Addiction Treatment at the time of his death on December 31, 2015.

Gary was known to his friends for his ready smile and willingness to always lend a helping hand.

When he was a young teenager, Gary's father took him to his first major league baseball game at the old Memorial Stadium. At his father's funeral, Gary remembered that day: "When we got inside the stadium, I remember walking up the long, steep ramp that led to the seats overlooking the ball field. There in front of me was the greenest grass I had ever seen. I was hooked. I've been an Orioles fan ever since. My first passion. Thanks Dad!" And that is how Gary's love for Orioles baseball began.

Gary's family believes that he would have wanted others to have the chance to benefit from Ashley Addiction Treatment's programs and recovery services. It is with this hope in mind that we donated Gary's collection of Orioles and other Baltimore sports memorabilia to Ashley. We invite everyone to participate in the online auction as a fun way to help raise funds for Ashley's treatment programs. Thank you! - Diane Williams and family

Starting on September 1, 2016, bidding will go "live" on a number of unique Baltimore sports memorabilia items. ALL PROCEEDS will go towards the Ashley Scholarship Fund providing treatment scholarships for those in need.
