Make Your Bid!

August 10 marks the day that rainwater collection is official LEGAL in Colorado! To raise awareness and educate the public about this exciting new legislation, the city of Boulder has partnered with Open Studios and the Center for Resource Conservation on the Boulder Barrel Project. Each artist was given a barrel, ready for paint and instructions that they could do whatever they want to their barrel, as long as it can still serve as a rainwater collection barrel.

Now is your chance to not only get a one-of-a-kind rain barrel, but to do it knowing you are helping support Open Studios, local artists and Boulder Housing Partners! Proceeds from the auction will benefit the artists who created the barrels, Open Studios outreach programming and water conservation efforts in BHP communities. Each rain barrel has been designed and created by an artist local to Boulder. Artists include professionals, emerging artists and students from Boulder High School's Arts Focus Pathway program!

Browse the works of art on a barrel, enjoy and bid on your favorites! Bidding will happen during the display month between August 10 - September 10 and will culminate at our auction event on September 15 at the Studio Boulder.
