Naval Academy Rugby Alumni Association to have its inaugural fundraising event October 7th!

The Naval Academy Rugby Alumni Association (NRAA) will be holding the first annual Navy Rugby Fund Raising Dinner on Friday, October 7th in the new Akerson Towers at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. The dinner, titled “With You”, will recognize a Fallen Shipmate (donations to be made in their name) and be an environment to celebrate both them and Navy Rugby.
On Saturday there will be a dedication ceremony for the new bleachers and new lighted main rugby pitch (third pitch to be finished) at the Brigade Sports Complex. We will also honor "Navy Rugby Firsts" before the Navy v. Notre Dame Rugby match at 11:00. Rugby Tailgater to follow before the football game vs. U of Houston.
The goal of NRAA is to raise funds for the Navy Rugby Excellence Fund via the Naval Academy Foundation. Near term goals have been set to obtain a full time dedicated coaching staff as well as elevating Navy Rugby to Varsity status to help the teams better compete at the National level AND WIN A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!
