THE MGOAUCTION IS BACK! This time out the University of Michigan alums who brought you the Bernard Maloy Cancer Scholarship Auction have been asked to help launch a new scholarship at the University. The Michigan Managers & Athletic Trainers Scholarship will be awarded to a rising senior serving as a volunteer trainer or managers for a University of Michigan varsity sport. Our dedicated student managers and trainers pour in as many if not more hours than our Michigan student-athletes without receiving the same benefits. These students reap educational and professional benefits from their experiences, but it comes at a significant cost in terms of time commitment. While their peers are paid for part-time jobs, and some for internships, most student managers and athletic training students are not. Providing scholarship support for these students is a meaningful way to enhance their student experience. All of the proceeds from your bids will directly benefit these University of Michigan students who help our Victors Valiant be the Leaders and Best. Please help our efforts to thank them for their work for our teams. So please, bid high, and bid often to support a Michigan undergraduate and Go Blue!

Make sure to put a "Watch" on items you want to bid on once bidding begins (though keep your eyes open for items that start early as we tend to get impatient).

This year's online auction has a few new opportunities for you the bidders to grab some great Michigan gear and memorabilia. This year we're offering a group of "Buy-Now" items wherein you can buy as many of the items as you would like. Keep your eyes open in August for the first of our "Buy Now" items.

Please note: These funds constitute a gift for endowment, and distributions will be made in accordance with the University's then existing endowment distribution policy. Any surplus distributions from the Fund during any period may be accumulated for later use for the above purposes or may be added to the principal of the fund at the University's discretion. Shipping and applicable tax are added on to the winning bid. Shipping of items does not occur until after the winning bidder's credit card is charged and cleared by University. This process typically takes three weeks.

"Buy Now" and Support Michigan's Managers and Athletic Trainers

Desmond Howard's "I Wore 21"

This year MGoAuction is going to offer several "Buy Now" options. The first one highlights one of the greatest to don the maize and blue, Heisman Trophy winner Desmond Howard. The MGoAuction is offering copies of the "I Wore 21" book that was published in honor of the retiring of Desmond's #21 jersey on September 10, 2011 at the legendary "Under the Lights" game against Notre Dame.

An unsigned copy of the "I Wore 21" book costs only $10

A copy of  "I Wore 21" signed by Desmond Howard will cost $150 with a majority considered a tax-deductible donation to the University.

Please support a great cause and get a great piece of Michigan history in return.
