NBS was founded in 2001 by a small group of parents and community members with a vision of creating an intimate place of learning for their young adolescents. Housed in a recycled 1850's farmhouse in a small mountain town in Vermont, these middle-school students are challenged to create an intellectually stimulating, emotionally vibrant and socially inclusive community of learners.

This auction, in addition to several events throughout the year, make it possible for every student regardless of his/her financial situation, to have the opportunity to become part of the North Branch community.
