Starting on November 1, 2017, YMCA of Long Island will be auctioning off a number of fun and unique items to bid on to raise money for our organization - and the more items we have the more money we can raise, so we're asking for your help.

PRE-TEEN & TEEN PROGRAMS

The YMCA of Long Island is proud to honor Linda Armyn and Bethpage Federal Credit Union at our annual Diamonds & Burlap event. This evening is designed to raise funds and awareness for our community-based pre-teen and teen programs.

Island-wide Pre-teen and Teen Centers, Leader's Club, and “Y Force: Teens in Job Training” are all critical programs that would not be possible without generous support from our donors and contributors. With your help, we nurture the potential of children, provide academic enrichment to young people and prepare teens to become competent, successful adults.

The YMCA of Long Island Teen Centers offer a diverse mix of programming that is culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate, and founded on the Y-USA Youth Development Roadmap. Access to our Long Island Y’s state-of-the-art facilities is available to community youth, both members and non-members on Friday and Saturday evenings during the school year, free of charge. Leaders' Club shapes the leaders of tomorrow with character building, leadership training, and volunteering in the community. The YMCA of Long Island is committed to nurturing the potential of all youth and to providing opportunities for them to discover who they are and what they can achieve.

Y Force: Teens in Job Training provides critical lifeguard certification programs to various levels of swimmers to build strong skills and ultimately achieve American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification. During the school year a select group of teens in invited to learn skills preparing participants to become a part of the next year's Camp staff.
