Founded in 1954, the National Sporting Library & Museum (NSLM) is located in Middleburg, the heart of Virginia’s beautiful horse country. The inviting, 6-acre campus, world-class research Library, and fine art Museum highlight the rich heritage and tradition of country pursuits. Today, the Library houses over 20,000 books, periodicals and archive collections on foxhunting, horse racing, angling, equitation, wing shooting and many other topics. The oldest titles in the collection date to the 16th Century. Almost all materials in the Library collection were donated, making NSLM a reflection of the sporting community across the United States.
