The online portion of the 7th Annual Carroll Center for the Blinds Walk for INDEPENDENCE auction is now open! The auction will run from Monday April 22 until the day our walk takes place on Sunday, April 28th. Proceeds go to the Carroll Center for the Blind in order to support empowering those who are blind and visually impaired to achieve independence and to lead a fulfilling life. So, tell your friends, family, community and let the bidding begin!

Our 7th Annual Carroll Center for the Blind Walk for INDEPENDENCE is coming up on Sunday, April 28th! The day will kick off with a one mile and three mile walk around the amazing neighborhoods of Newton Centre. Bring along your guide dog or family pets - all are welcome to enjoy a cookout, great music, accessible games, giveaways, and much more. All of the activities offer unique opportunities for both sighted and visually impaired people to participate. Create a team and make an even bigger impact! This event is fun for the whole family and celebrates how active blind and visually impaired people can be. As neighbors within the community, this event will bring all who attend closer to understanding our differences.

Each year The Carroll Center for the Blind helps 5,000 blind or visually impaired children, adults, and senior citizens learn to be confident, active, and independent. Here, they will learn to focus on what they can do, rather than focusing on what they can't do.
Established in 1936, The Carroll Center helps by providing rehabilitation, skills training, and educational opportunities to achieve independence, self-sufficiency and self-fulfillment. They also educate communities about the potential of persons who are blind and visually impaired.
For over 80 years, The Carroll Center has pioneered innovative services for the blind and visually impaired by developing methods for people with vision loss to learn the skills to be independent in their homes, in class settings, and in their work places, preparing them for diverse opportunities for success and independent living.
