This auction features work created by students and graduates of The Alpha Workshops’ decorative arts training program, often using techniques developed in the program. All proceeds are shared, with 50% going back in The Alpha Workshops Studio School and 50% going to the artist. For many of our artists, this will be the first income ever generated through their artwork.
Our Mission
- To draw on the powerful healing potential of useful work and creative self-expression;
- To provide training and employment in a flexible, compassionate workplace;
- To compete in the marketplace successfully at the highest level of craftsmanship and artistry; and
- To provide a new model of economic development for people living with HIV/AIDS and other disabilities.
Our goal is to empower these individuals to channel their creativity into a rewarding future of economic independence and increased social interaction.
