Each year the Carroll Center for the Blind helps 5,000 blind or visually impaired children, adults, and senior citizens learn to be confident, active, and independent. Here, they will learn to focus on what they can do, rather than focusing on what they can't do.
Established in 1936, the Carroll Center for the Blind helps by providing rehabilitation, skills training, and educational opportunities to achieve independence, self-sufficiency and self-fulfillment. They also educate communities about the potential of persons who are blind and visually impaired.
For over 85 years, the Carroll Center for the Blind has pioneered innovative services for the blind and visually impaired by developing methods for people with vision loss to learn the skills to be independent in their homes, in class settings, in the community, and in their workplaces, preparing them for diverse opportunities for success and independent living.
