Make Your Bid to Support a Visiting Artist
THE CONCEPT
We offer you a unique opportunity to sponsor one of these fantastic artists for a Visiting Artist Residency in the MOG Hot Shop. Artist Residencies have hard costs that start at $25,000.
As a sponsor of a Residency you will receive:
- Recognition on our website and in the Hot Shop
- The opportunity to work with the artist to select one piece from the Residency for your collection*
AUCTION DETAILS
Bids must be placed on the Fuel Their Fire auction website. The website also includes information about each artist. Once you place a bid, you will be notified via email if someone outbids you.
If you are unable or do not wish to participate, or monitor the auction online, please contact MOG at 253.284.2130 or acarr@museumofglass.org and we will be happy to post your bids and notify you of progress using alternative communication.

You may bid as a family or form a bidding pool to support your favorite artist. You will, however, only receive one piece from the Residency.
BIDDING
- Residency bids begin at $10,000 and continue in increments of $1,000.
- You may open the bidding at any amount you would like at or above $10,000 and can continue to bid in any increment you would like that is at or above $1,000.
- Select Residencies will have a reserve.
* Some pieces will require extensive finishing beyond the Residency and may not be available for some months after the Residency.
