Starting August 1, 2016, we will be auctioning a number of fun and unique items to benefit the Allagash Wilderness Waterway (AWW).  Established by the Maine State Legislature in 1966, the 92-mile Allagash Wilderness Waterway in northern Maine is one of America's preeminent canoe trips.

The highlight of the auction will be a one-of-a-kind 50th anniversary wooden canoe built by Rollin Thurlow of Northwoods Canoe Co.  The 17½ foot Atkinson Traveler Canoe is being built with cedar from the Allagash Waterway, spruce from Baxter Park and maple from Piscataquis County - a true Northern Maine canoe!  The canoe will be painted forest green, featuring the AWW logo on the bow.

Additional items for this auction will be announced soon.

Northern Forest Canoe Trail's popular annual online auction will be held November 1, 2016 to December 1, 2016.
