Now is your chance to get fabulous gift items, special experiences, and fine dining opportunities while helping to support our organization and our Mission of BRINGING TRADITION TO LIFE! For the past fourteen years, Santa Barbara Revels has created community celebrations that mark seasonal change. We introduce our audiences to authentic traditions from diverse world cultures, and we help them create their own tradition of participating in Revels; they join us in singing and dancing while being entertained, amused and enlightened.
During the past 18 months, the pandemic prevented us from presenting our usual calendar of in-person performances and activities. We responded by creating virtual events that brought people together: weekly "pub sings", a May Day celebration, a Summer Solstice celebration in song, an Equinox Concert, and a virtual peroduction of The Christmas Revels. Now, we are returning to live performances because - more than ever - people want to join together to share and enjoy a sense of community. We need your support to do this!
Your participation in our auction will help make possible this year's annual award-winning theatrical production, entitled The Christmas Revels: An Early California Celebration of the Winter Solstice. We will perform at the Lobero Theatre in Santa Barbara on December 18th and 19th. Our annual show changes locales and time periods with each production, but it retains traditional elements that audiences look forward to seeing every year. It has become a favorite holiday tradition in the wider Santa Barbara area, and we believe folks will be more than ready and eager to experience our offering this December. As we like to say, "Join us and be joyous!"
