The mission of the Downtown Women’s Center is to provide permanent supportive housing and a safe and healthy community fostering dignity, respect, and personal stability, and to advocate ending homelessness for women.
In the past 3 years, DWC has raised over $1.5 million in unrestricted funds through Dinner With a Cause. All proceeds go directly to our supportive services and allow us to carry out DWC’s mission to empower women to break the cycles of chronic poverty and unemployment. As a Dinner supporter, individuals and organizations like you fund real, sustainable change for nearly 200 women per day who visit our drop-in Day Center and our 119 residents – including 100,000 warm meals per year, healthcare, mental health counseling, and many more essential services.
The online portion of Dinner With a Cause 2014 is open October 10, 2014, 8 a.m Pacific to October 19, 2014 9 p.m. Pacific.
