Make Your Bid to Support Lamp for Haiti!
Now is your chance to not only get all the great items you want, but to do it knowing you are helping support our organization and mission.
Since 2006, Lamp for Haiti has provided life-saving and essential medical care to thousands of children, women, and families each year living in Cite Soleil, one of the most impoverished communities in the western hemisphere. Despite political and economic instability, gang violence, natural disasters, and other challenges, Lamp for Haiti has remained steadfast in its resolve to continue to provide much needed services to a community whose needs are great. Our work is made possible through the ongoing and generous support received by our community here in the states and by several fundraising events throughout the year.
This year we celebrate our 17th anniversary continuing to shine a light on the three core values upon which Lamp for Haiti was founded, Health, Partnership, and Community. The turmoil in Haiti has encouraged the Lamp to think outside the box to explore alternative ways to reach the thousands of children, women and families who continue to rely on our services. Our response has been to strengthen existing, and to establish new, community relationships and partnerships so that we can continue to administer much-needed services, and to extend our reach to areas that have not received assistance in years.
The Lamp for Haiti Annual Gala, the Lamp?s largest fundraiser, provides funding needed for the Lamp to continue providing life-saving and critical care to thousands of individuals, children, and families each year. Staffed entirely by Haitian doctors, nurses and technicians, the Lamp for Haiti is supported solely by donations and other fundraising events.
