About the Artist and Event:
Herb Williams:
Creating monumental sculptures out of individual crayons is Herb Williams' unique specialty. His work can be seen in children's hospitals, corporate lobbies, museum walls, and the White House. Herb's work was featured at an Inaugural art exhibit in Washington, DC, with Shepard Fairey. The press and acclaim his crayon sculptures have garnered has reached as far as England, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Australia, Croatia, and Japan, with a recent touring exhibit through China having just concluded. Swimville:
Lower Broadway, between 4th & 5th Avenues, was tented for Swimville, featuring model appearances, interactive exhibits, fan fun, and live music from twelve Nashville artists including Will Hoge, Chris Young, Moon Taxi, and Holly Williams, from 11am to 5pm February 11 and 12. Fans saw Sports Illustrated Swimsuit come to life through activities, showcases, and model appearances. The Swimville fan experience was free and open to the public.
