The online portion of International Peace Garden "Virtual" Gala in the Garden Fundraiser Auction is now open. The auction will run from September 11, 2020 to September 22, 2020, with the live event taking place on September 21, 2020. Proceeds go to INTERNATIONAL PEACE GARDEN in order to support our mission of growing peace through art, conservation, recreation and art. Auction items range from vacation getaways to unique experiences, handcrafted art, donated items and gift baskets that guaranteed to delight and surprise. So, tell your friends, family, community. Let the bidding begin!

We may not be gathering in person, but we've still created a unique virtual experience sure to be a must attend event. You can expect a silent auction filled with unique items and experiences along with some live music and Garden updates.

But to bring the virtual experience to life you won't want to miss performance artist and Speed Painter Amy Burkman who has committed her talents into philanthropy for her Art for Good project. You will see Amy paint in real-time and have a chance to take her painting home.

We'd be remiss if we didn't put some emphasis on the PEACE in Peace Garden. In today's world of cancel culture and polarizing social rhetoric we'll hear from Nadine Strossen - Author, Activist & Former President of the ACLU on the importance of free speech and how free speech promotes shared understanding, expands ideas and builds peace.

And of course what would any event be without some live music. We'll be hearing from Manitoba artist Don Amero who will bring his music of the prairies to our homes.

Founded in 1932 the International Peace Garden is a botanical garden that was founded on the mission of peace. The founders believed that after World War 1, men would not take up arms against each other. Over the past 88 years it has grown to include art, culture, recreation and conservation in the support of peace while being a place of respite and contemplation.
