Strength to Survive Golf Outing
Imagine not being able to hug your loved one or pick up your child, reach towards the kitchen shelf or open the car door. Breast cancer patients and survivors often experience decreased range of motion, weakness, pain, fatigue and lymphedema (swelling of the arm). Many patients also experience distress, anger and fear.
TurningPoint is a 501c3 non-profit created to meet the needs & improve the quality of life for breast cancer survivors. We offer specialized oncologic physical & massage therapy, emotional counseling, lymphedema screening & management, nutrition & tailored exercise classes. We use a holistic approach to treating our suvivors and their families giving them hope and the Strength to Survive.
While we accept most major insurance, we turn no one away based on their ability to pay. Insurance covers only a small portion of our fees and it's critical to continue to raise funds to fill the gap and cover patient care. Join us on Sunday May 21, 2023 for a fun day of golf and fundraising for a great cause! Check in starts at 8am with a 9am shotgun start. Your registration fee includes golf, cart fee, and buffet lunch. If you can't join us to play in the event, please consider making a donation, being a sponsor, or bidding on silent auction items. These will be available online prior to the event.
All proceeds from the outing and silent auction benefit TurningPoint Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and our Georgia Outreach Program which provides financial assistance, no cost or reduced-fee programs, and virtual rehabilitation to rural Georgia and Cherokee County.
Details for the event:
- This is a 4 person best ball scramble.
- We will have long drive and closest to the pin contests for men and women
- Men, Women, Teens and all levels are welcome to play
- You will have the opportunity to shoot a golf ball out of an AR 15 rifle
- Prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd place
- $100 per person and proceeds from this fee will also go to TurningPoint

Dress Code for the event (Thank you for complying)
Men should wear collared or mock-neck shirts; slacks or dress shorts. No tank tops, t-shirts, jeans, sweatpants or gym shorts
Women should wear collared, non-collared, or sleeveless tops; slacks, dress shorts or appropriate golf skirt or dress. No Jeans, sweatpants or gym shorts.
