This amazing night, sponsored by Friends of Weaver (FOW), consists of dinner, silent auction, live auction, casino games and dancing. FOW is a non-profit organization dedicated to maintaining, improving, and updating the technology needs of Weaver Elementary School.

Funds raised at Weaver Goes Hollywood directly benefit your child through FOW’s provision of the following:

  • The money FOW raises funds a credentialed Media Center teacher, a Media Center aide, curriculum, training, and instruction materials in the Media Center.
  • During the past five years, FOW has purchased over 700 technology devices for Weaver students and staff.
  • FOW is continuing to fund "Project Lead The Way" (PLTW) at Weaver.
    • As the first and only elementary school implementing this program in the district, Weaver continues to forge ahead as the trail blazer introducing this curriculum to our students.
    • The goals of PLTW are to launch critical thinking, integrate technology into the classroom, encourage teachers and students to learn together, and to teach students to use the design process: Ask, Explore, Model, Evaluate, Explain.
