The Shoopy Scramble Charity Golf Tournament started 10 years ago when Brett Shoopman, an assistant golf pro, was diagnosed with melanoma. After many months of treatment Brett realized that he needed to turn the negative into a positive. thus, the Shoopy Scramble Charity Golf Tournament was born. Brett is passionate about educating people about the dangers of sun exposure and melanoma. The tournament has reached many people and has helped to save lives. The grateful recipients of these generous fundraising efforts are Eisenhower Lucy Curci Cancer Center and the Melanoma Research Foundation. To date, the Shoopy Scramble has raised more than $250,000.
