Spend 8 hours alongside celebrated vintner Ehren Jordan, winemaker of such diverse wines as French –style Pinot Noirs and Syrahs from Failla Wines, and blockbuster Zinfandels and Petit Syrahs from Turley Wine Cellars.
Selected the San Francisco Chronicle’s Winemaker of the Year in 2008, Jordan will walk you through a typical whirl-wind day shuttling between Turley and Failla, a feat often accomplished in the cockpit of his twin-engine Cessna 340. Sit in the co-pilot’s seat and get a winemaker’s-eye-view of the vineyards under Jordan’s supervision and ownership, then land and take a walk through the rows and listen to Jordan’s theories on site-selection, growing, and ripeness.
Cap off your insiders experience by sitting down to an unprecedented blending session to create 5 cases and 1 Magnum of your own unique wine from components of the Failla barrel cellar still in production. Provide a logo for a custom-designed label to be affixed to the cases of 750s and then etched and painted into the magnum. Visit must take place prior to August 23, 2010 when the 2009 vintages will be bottled. Your wine will be shipped to you once Jordan bottles this one-of-a-kind Cuvée.
