2008 MARCASSIN CHARDONNAY
Marcassin Vineyards is one of California’s most renowned vineyards and winery. They produce rich wines that see extended barrel aging, said by some to be ‘as good as drinking gold’. Owner/winemaker Helen Turley has been anointed by both Robert Parker and the Wine Spectator as one of California’s best winemakers, if not THE best. She was instrumental in creating the cult wine phenomenon and receives critical acclaim for almost every wine she touches. Aside from Marcassin, which she runs with husband John Wetlaufer, Turley has been the consulting winemaker for some of the best wineries in the country, including Pahlmeyer, Colgin and Bryant Family. 2012 SHAFER HILLSIDE SELECT
John Shafer’s eponymous wine label helped establish the Stags Leap District as a world-renowned viticultural area for Cabernet Sauvignon. He has spent more than four decades crafting incredible wines, including his 2008 Relentless which was named Wine of the Year by the Wine Spectator. This bottle of 2012 Hillside Select Cabernet Sauvignon was awarded a perfect score by Robert Parker. “No doubt this is a 30 to 50-year wine if you want to cellar it properly and nibble on it over a long period of time, but it will be much more approachable in its youth than most Hillside Selects tend to be. This is, once again, a fabulous effort.”

Outside Napa County: Winners of auction lots containing wine will have their wine(s) shipped by Bodega Shipping Company. If you are the lucky winner, we will call you to coordinate details.
Napa County Residents: Winners of auction lots containing wine may pick up their wine(s) at the St. Helena Cooperative Nursery School located at 1201 Niebaum Lane in Rutherford. If you are the lucky winner, we will call you to schedule a time.
We will also deliver in the Napa Valley by arrangement.
