Item Description
You are bidding on an editing consultation on up to fifty manuscript pages by published author and BlueStone Press columnist Susan Krawitz.
Susan Krawitz has published articles and essays in many regional and national publications, and for 20 years has been a columnist with the Blue Stone Press. She’s won national awards for children’s fiction, essays, and screenplays, and her middle-grade children’s novel, Viva, Rose!, which won the Sydney Taylor manuscript award, was published by Holiday House Inc. in spring, 2017. She’s also a freelance developmental editor who works with authors of screenplays, memoirs, and a wide variety of genres of adult and children’s fiction.
A critique of a synopsis and up to fifty double-spaced manuscript pages of a novel, essay, memoir, or screenplay (either adult, YA, or children’s work is fine, but no horror). Critique will include notes on the manuscript as well as a summary of the work’s strengths and challenges, focusing on issues such as plot, theme, characters, dialogue, voice, craft, and potential marketability.
Value is approximately $400. This service must be booked at least one month prior to commencement, and approximate turnaround time will be three weeks.
Ms. Krawitz can be reached at skrawitz@gmail.com. This must be arranged within one year of the winning bid.
