"New England Landscape #28" is part of a series that was created by the artist in 2017. Nature is a vital force that balances all the things around the artist, in both her personal and social level. A true sense of life is reflected through the artist's forceful brushwork, color, light and shadow. Ms. Yee uses both natural and imagined sceneries for her composition and intended and unintended colors to achieve emotional responses and reexamination of her life.
Sophia Yee is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and holds a BFA from Tufts University in 1989. She has shown her artwork in museums and extensively in galleries both nationally and internationally. Ms. Yee's artwork is in bank, museum, company and many individual collections world-wide.
